Trouble in the Suez: Bulk Shipping Delays

Here at Love Loose Leaf Tea we are a micro retailer (read: it's mainly just me!) of premium tea. We rely on distributors that source on our behalf from the highest-ranked German tea suppliers.

The troubles lie in the Red Sea. With piracy and conflict ongoing in the region, suppliers of all kinds of goods to Australia are negatively impacted as shipping vessels are diverted around Africa or, if they choose the Suez Canal the additional insurance costs due to the danger and potential losses have become mandatory.

Accordingly, our suppliers have increased their prices and all of this is a sad implication of the sign of the times. In turn, this has impacted our on-hand stocks and costs and, we will be adjusting our prices over the coming weeks.
